Only with God.
When it has been about me, I become disconnected. When it’s all about my children or family, I become burnt out. When I seek to please others and friends, I fall short. When I devote myself to work and career, I become swallowed. When I dedicate all my extra time to community and service, I end up consumed. However, when it is all about God, there it becomes light, there in Him is assurance of rest, there next to Him is guidance, provision and peace. In the Lord there is belonging, vibrancy, completion, and being built up. With God, there is me. Not seeking to be what others expect of me, but experiencing joyfully what God has purposed and designed for me – before I was even born.
“He tends His flock like a Shepherd: He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart; He gently leads those that have young,” (Isaiah 40:11).
