Only with God.
When we make life about us, we can become disconnected. When it is all about children or family, one can get burnt out. When seeking to please others and friends, it leads to falling short. When life is devoted to work and career, we over time become swallowed. When all the extra time is dedicated to community and service, one can feel consumed. However, when it is all about God, there it becomes light, there in Him is assurance of rest, there next to Him is guidance, provision and peace. In the Lord there is belonging, vibrancy, completion, and being built up. With God, there is you in steadiness. Not seeking to be what others expect, but experiencing joyfully what God has purposed and designed for each of us. And with God as the centerpiece, it can be done without ignoring or avoiding those and that which we hold dear. As we put God above and allow for His leading, balance is experienced in place of drowning. His ways are truly higher and through Him we discover what matters and we can accomplish so much more.
“He tends His flock like a Shepherd: He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart; He gently leads those that have young,” (Isaiah 40:11 NIV).
