Thank goodness the Father provided a means to connection; just look up. God may have designed the night sky specifically so we would pause and look upward. The evening brings forth darkness, but a night that is still filled with His light. The stars, planets and heavens shine down with a reminder His wonder is with us, even in loneliness and disconnect. What a common bond everyone in the world has, the sky. We all can look up when its dark and find a light. Jesus said, “believe in the Light; become children of Light,” (John 12:36), and when we “walk in the Light; we have fellowship with one another,” (1 John 1:7). God’s creation is restorative, Jesus is refreshment for the soul, and His Light is a beacon of hope and true relationship. When you feel alone, or experience a dark place, look up and see God’s light and His love over your life; then look inward and feel His presence magnified within you, so you can continue on, connect with others, and experience His fullness. “We are one in Christ,” (Galatians 3:28) and surrounded by His Light. Such a peace.
“Then God said , ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light, and God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness,” (Genesis 1:3-4 NKJ).
