Kept not Captive

There are moments where the thought is to erase the day and start again. Even preferred some times is to start the whole week over or even month. When everything is going the complete opposite of what is expected, it is easy to feel captive to stress and circumstance. Though, the Lord is so loving and good to grow us, that He in our despair finds a way to show us how He keeps us; held tight by His loving hand, where from it abundance and riches flow. “In Your hand is power and might,” (1 Chronicles 29:12), and as we submit to Him in the place where He has us, in it we can see His glory. The Lord of hosts is our God. The Commander, who is Leader of all that we face; with Him we are always in the company of help, peace and victory. Pray with gratitude even when the day is filled with gloom. Call on His leadership when you are faced with confusion and doubt. Pray honestly for peace over the place you may not want to be. His love never fails, and His presence is continual, He will gather His children and give them life.

“And seek peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace,” (Jeremiah 29:7 NKJ).
