Beyond understanding the Creator of the universe, of the heavens and earth, has found its single most important focus you and me. What love God has to create us in His image (Genesis 1:28), to Shepherd after even one lost sheep (Luke 15:4-6), to encourage rejoicing and praise in the heavens over one lost soul being redeemed (Luke 15:7), to call us each by name (Isaiah 43:1; John 10:3-4), and fashion us with His hands (Psalm 119:73). God, filled with so much love for you, sent His son to bare your sins, to make you a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), to provide you life in His eternal kingdom (John 5:24), as a inheritor of His riches and blessings. Meditate on that remarkable truth. You are loved, you are kept, you are cared for, sought out, you are not alone.
For the Lord provides this promise, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5; Deuteronomy 31:8), an unbreakable bond with His children. Receive that goodness from God, and love Him from the depth of yourself. Enjoy the relationship the Lord desires you to have with Him. Let Jesus pour His peace into your life, and allow the Spirit of God to mature and blossom within you; converse naturally with God, and share your time with Him. God loves you no matter what. For He sees you as His own (Galatians 4:4-7), as a son or daughter, as His first love (1 John 4:19, John 3:16). Your perfection does not stir Gods love, your presence does. The mere fact that you exist, has God pursuing you through Jesus Christ, the redeemer, and deliverer. Embrace that affection with arms wide open, heart exposed; not attempting to understand, just believe it.
“Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:29 NKJ).
